Finding Venus in the night sky is not too hard these days. Now appearing as the evening star, Venus rules as the brightest celestial beacon in west just after sunset. And if you can find Venus tonight, you can also easily find the lovely Pleiades star cluster (aka M45) close by. In this serene skyview, recorded on Tuesday near Bolu, Turkey, Venus and the Pleiades are on the right, with brilliant Venus reflected in the calm waters of the small lake in the foreground. Left of Venus, the bright star Aldebaran anchors the V-shaped Hyades star cluster. Farther left are stars of the familiar constellation Orion with Rigel, at the foot of Orion, also reflected in the lake. Meanwhile, Sirius, in Canis Major, is the brightest star on the left side of the view. But the bright terrestrial light below Sirius is not a reflection, it's just a light near the lake shore.
Encontrar a Venus en el cielo nocturno no es demasiado difícil en estos días. Ahora apareciendo como la estrella vespertina, Venus reina como el faro celestial más brillante en el oeste justo después de la puesta de sol. Y si puedes localizar a Venus esta noche, también puedes encontrar fácilmente el precioso cúmulo de estrellas Pléyades (también conocido como M45) muy cerca. En esta serena vista celeste, registrada el martes cerca de Bolu, Turquía, Venus y las Pléyades están a la derecha, con el brillante Venus reflejado en las aguas tranquilas del pequeño lago en primer plano. A la izquierda de Venus, la estrella brillante Aldebarán ancla el cúmulo de estrellas Híades en forma de V. Más a la izquierda están las estrellas de la conocida constelación de Orión con Rigel, en el pie de Orión, también reflejado en el lago. Mientras tanto, Sirio, en Canis Mayor, es la estrella más brillante en el lado izquierdo de la vista. Pero la luz terrestre brillante debajo de Sirio no es un reflejo, es solo una luz cerca de la orilla del lago.
