A space shuttle is again visiting the International Space Station (ISS). The STS-92 crew aboard Discovery have already delivered and installed a truss and a docking port on the growing orbiting space station. The station is being prepared for its first permanent crew, currently scheduled to be launched from Kazakstan on October 30. Pictured above, the shuttle's docking ring is being extended to enable a stable connection to the space station.
Un transbordador espacial visita nuevamente la Estación Espacial Internacional (ISS, por sus siglas en inglés). La tripulación del STS-92 a bordo del Discovery ya ha entregado e instalado una estructura de celosía y un puerto de acoplamiento en la creciente estación espacial en órbita. La estación está siendo preparada para recibir a su primera tripulación permanente, cuyo lanzamiento está programado desde Kazajistán el 30 de octubre. En la imagen, el anillo de acoplamiento del transbordador está siendo extendido para permitir una conexión estable con la estación espacial.
